Week 24 – Vote 1 for MKMMA

The MKMMA has been an experience to open the mind and soul to the unknown, bringing it into the known so that it may never again be “unknown” – having to unlearn what we were taught and relearn new ways of thinking. And trust me when I say you cant unlearn theses lessons… and for this I am immensely grateful!!

Bringing the lessons into every aspect of our lives…

Enter voting week for us here in NSW, Australia. Time again to choose a government to support our country and take us through the next 4 years…. it becomes glaringly apparent of how sections of the Master Keys relate to even what would ordinarily seem like a mundane activity… to have to vote. Weeks and huge amounts of money are spent on marketing upcoming candidates, in varying and unusual ways – from high tale promises to purely taking stabs at the opposition (which brings me to hmm…. do we really want people who put down others, regardless of their past efforts, leading our country??!!)

Sentence 9 in The Master Key – Part Twenty Three

The average person is entirely innocent of any deep thinking; he accepts the ideas of others, and repeats them, in very much the same way as a parrot; this is readily seen when we understand the method which is used to form public opinion, and this docile attitude on the part of a large majority who seem perfectly willing to let a few persons do all their thinking for them is what enables a few men in a great many countries to usurp all the avenues of power and hold the millions in subjection. Creative thinking requires attention.

Most people are the first to “judge” a Politician by his/her action or inaction yet repeat the “gossip” as if it were gospel until it spreads like wildfire. In truth I do not envy their position. I admire them for the courage to (often times) stand out against the crowd of average people in an effort to bring something better into position for our country.

Imagine for a second though… if the entire Parliament had to go through the MKMMA…. learn what we have learned over the last 24 weeks and actually put it into place within their positions of power. What an entirely different country we would have!!

Week 23 – nearing the end… yet it feels like the beginning!

Throughout these last 23 weeks Ive been stretched, pushed, pulled, fallen down, spoken aloud to myself more times that I can count, stressed, happy, sad, excited, written blogs, learned about twitter, learned life lessons, found my voice within and learned to appreciate silence (something I NEVER thought possible!!)….. needless to say it has been challenging…. would I change a thing… no way. Would I do it again…. absolutely!!

I received an email this week which really hit home for me with all we have been learning:

From where I sit, it is a mystery to me, Amber, how so many can look back on their past with pride, yet frown with disappointment at their present. Somehow forgetting that back then, they were just as self-critical, while somehow missing that today they’ve never, ever, been so close to all they’ve ever wanted.

Just think about that for a moment, how often do we look back at our past and think, how good we “used” to have it or “used” to look…. but at that point in time in our lives we did not recognise that fact!!

The combination of reading this week from Og and Haanel is really continuing to solidify everything we have been taught so far (and what we continue to learn). Engaging the law of least effort has been a really amazing experience, its surprising how you can look at so differently once we choose to!

The ‘little’ things which used to bother me, no longer do, they seem so insignificant that I almost giggle at my past feelings toward them! Being grateful for EVERY situation changes things in a way that I almost can not put into words!

Remembering, thanks to Og, that, “Today I AM master of my emotions” and correlating this with our lessons throughout the MKMMA I now have a favourite new morning checklist….

Each day, when I awaken, I follow this plan of battle before I am captured by the forces of sadness, self-pity and failure….

If I feel depressed I sing (or listen to my recording and sing along)

If I feel sad I laugh (reading past fun/nice experiences)

If I feel ill I double my labour (power of your mind)

If I feel fear I will plunge ahead (do it… when?!!… NOW)

If I feel inferior I wear new garments (I particularly like this one!!)

If I feel uncertain I raise my voice

If I feel poverty I think of wealth to come (law of substitution)

If I feel incompetent I remember past success (thanks to our cards!)

If I feel insignificant I remember my goals (thanks to our shapes and colours)

Today, I AM master of my emotions

Week 22a – Spread your wings… (its not that scary…)

The first week of MKMMA where we have been given the option to spread our wings, preparing for the end of the course.

I have to say, honestly I was scared, but I KNOW now that was just my old blueprint holding me hostage (as it has done for so long!)…

We were given the option to read what we want to read and dictate our own week with no “further instruction” so-to-speak and I didn’t know how I was going to go… I am so used to being told what to do, by previous “experts” who leave you hanging on to their every word. They don’t teach you HOW to think for yourself they just teach you to rely on them… and the next course they develop…. and then the next, they leave you with a feeling that you can never leave them because you “wont know what to do”.

How deeply I was sucked into this routine I did not even realise…. until this week was approaching and I was SO nervous about it….. but once I started to trust the process, I realised it was easy. Easy because we have been taught life skills to take us through to the end of the course and beyond.

It was completely invigorating to have the freedom to direct my own week, and I DID it.

I feel like I am emerging from a cocoon which has surrounded me for so long, stretching my wings and learning to fly….

Im digging deep and I WILL see this through… because I know how to DO IT NOW!!

Week 22 – I LOVE the negative… am I crazy?!

When you say or read the words…..

FEAR

GUILT

UNWORTHINESS

HURT FEELINGS

ANGER

……what do you feel?? What emotions well inside you? Notice how your posture changes, does the hair on your skin stand up, do you get a hot flush??

When we think about past experiences which resulted in us feeling one or more of these emotions, our body changes…. it is therefore evidential PROOF that our thoughts control our body, not just mentally but physically.

Understanding the correlation between what we think and the health of our body is imperative and something which should (IMO) be taught in schools…. we learn from Part 22 chapter 8

8. All that is necessary is to consult our own experience. When our thought has been uplifted, progressive, constructive, courageous, noble, kind or in any other way desirable, we have set in motion vibrations which brought about certain results. When our thought has been filled with envy, hatred, jealousy, criticism or any of the other thousand and one forms of discord, certain vibrations were set in motion which brought about certain other results of a different nature, and each of these rates of vibration, if kept up, crystallized in form. In the first case the result was mental, moral and physical health, and in the second case discord, inharmony and disease
Knowing this, would you EVERY let your child talk negative about themselves, to themselves….?? Of course not…. then why do we do it to ourselves?!!

BUT….. What if you didn’t HAVE to feel that way when you say/read or even experience them….

One of the most powerful webinar’s of MKMMA so far was held this week… really bringing together all our lessons and exercises in an immaculately crafted way to give us real, straight forward tools to use going forward, as life and every day occurrences come at us in every way….

Let me try and review…

Instead of experiencing fear for what we are taught to see and feel, what if you could see it as as a blessing which increases your concentration of the task at hand…

Yep, my thoughts exactly!

So lets move on to the other words, just briefly and you will start to see the pattern….

Guilt – can be used to identify that we ARE on the right path, we just need to take the ACTION toward it (we wouldn’t feel guilty about something we didnt care about!)

Unworthiness – once we realise that we ARE worthy of anything our heart desires, we just can not have it all at the same time the feeling of unworthiness just dissipates! But wait, doesn’t that actually serve the purpose of focussing (the magnifying glass theory) on the important parts of your life and NOT multi-tasking (see previous posts for how much this sucks!!)

Hurt Feelings – If we identify that we can not control the feelings or emotions of others in relation to our ideas, we can only control our own – then we can choose to be thankful for the reminder of how much we care about our dreams and desires and we can immediately change from hurt to gratitude (OMG!!)

Anger – is a giant ball of energy that wells inside you that needs to be let out (or you feel like you might explode); you can choose to use channel this toward a positive outcome rather than negative, a voila you have progress aaaaaand no emotional hangover (score!).

We have a CHOICE! (granted it may not always be easy) We can choose to add any feeling to a word or experience that we like, so why would you focus on the negative.

Now that you know you have a choice to take the positive over negative….

Week 21 – Do you believe….??

Do you believe in miracles?

Lets start with the definition of a miracle; according to Websters online dictionary, a miracle is defined as:

an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs. : an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment.

This seems fair enough and the definition to which most people would agree/believe. I know I used to agree with this definition…. thats right…. used to…. I thought miracles defined ONLY as being these big, wonderful, unexplainable occurances that happened in peoples lives if they were very very lucky…. how wrong I was.

This week in MKMMA my mind was blown… (surprise surprise…. again!!)

In a way that made me strain my brain and go back to high school science to really understand the true meaning of the word…. I am beginning to understand more and more that miracles are ALL around us, everywhere in everything and everyone we see, touch and feel.

Not being the sciencey/physics type I never really understood atoms and molecules and the way they come together with space and energy to form unique things…. things in my world, just “were”. I never gave too much thought toward just how totally amazing this concept really is.

In a way that I could never re-explain Davine basically taught us that we are made up of more ‘space’ that anything else and that the only reason we are able to see our bodies is due to the unique energy of all the atoms working in perfect harmony with each other, if this did not occur, we would cease to exist…. this blew my mind!

Ive always experienced periods of awe and wonder as I take in the beauty of nature, whether it be a simple flower, a sunset, a tiny creature or a new born child…. I find myself just stopping (as if the whole world does with me) just for a split second to appreciate how really wondrous we truly are…. I look at my gorgeous kids (who have just turned 10 and 7) and think to myself, holy crap…. I actually grew these beauties inside me…. !!!!

Ive learned this week to open my eyes more to the miracles that surround us, literally everywhere, and by extension have no choice to believe that I too am a miracle…. although that to me still sounds a little surreal… but….  I CHOOSE to believe….

Week 20 – Find your inner hedgehog

Gosh the weeks are simply flying by now… so much progress…. so much still left to learn… so many skills….. yikes!! My inner fox is shining through….

Week 20 of MKMMA…. This week I was introduced to a new fable, one which I was not familiar with…. The Fox and The Hedgehog. Most people, as I, had heard of Aesop’s Fable….. The Tortoise and the Hare which in itself provides a unique and simple life lesson which most have come to accept – slow and steady wins the race… but not The Fox and the Hedgehog.

It provides a very interesting and eye-opening concept as to why the ‘masters of multi-tasking’ may seem to have it all together, yet retain less and do not achieve what could be their greatness in whichever task they choose to undertake.

In a nutshell…

As I was cleaning the house this morning, this metaphor of being a Fox or Hedgehog smacked me clean in the scrubbing brush…. lol… I never really gave much thought to the way I clean my house before, usually walking around with a tea-towel on my shoulder (my signature mark if you ask my kids or hubby!), flitting from room to room, tidying up mess as I go and most of the time finding myself in a different place as when I started, then wondering why it feels like I have been cleaning for hours and the house still seems to look the same….. I am a DAMN FOX!!!

I have the one big idea of cleaning my house, but instead of focusing on one room at a time, I go between rooms as I find something to put away and then get distracted at cleaning that part of the house instead of the part I started at! If I can FOCUS my energy on one area of the house, it will get done SO much more quickly…. and it DID!!

Now this may seem like a strange post to write about cleaning, but that is the beauty of this course, the lessons we are learning are SO much more than just to help you in business…. they are to help you in life.

HOW COOL IS THAT?!!

For a lot of people, life itself, combined with multiple requirements put upon us can overwhelm you to the point of thinking… how can I fit all these things in…. and STILL have time for…. family/business/health (insert your own important aspect here!)…. this clip explains it BEAUTIFULLY….

Week 19 – Maths and MKMMA..

2 minutes + 1 pose + 1 specific question = ???

One of my most favorites subjects at school growing up was…. Maths…. (boo hiss I hear some of you say!) but I was one of the kids in the class who loved it, I learned it, practiced it, refined my working out and well eventually I just got it – and when I got it, it became effortless and dare I say it….. FUN!

Some of my classmates where not so keen on it though….

I never really understood why I liked it so much, but Im beginning to…. this may seem a little like a curve ball for a blog topic for MKMMA, but bare with me and I will try to explain (without mathematical terminology…. so you can breathe a sigh of relief now!)

No matter what the mathematical equation is, from simple number sentences to complex algebraic equations (Im done – promise! haha) the solution is always the same. You could give 25 different people the same question, and although they each may have a different way of working it out, they all still come to the same solution.

Linking this to our learnings with MKMMA…. we have each been learning, learning, learning and have been asked to complete some very specific tasks at a very specific time throughout this course which are leading us all down the path to mastering our “Compound Complex Progression”……

1. 3 gratitudes daily

2. 2 RAKs

3. A 1-2 sentence mini journal

4. Exercise

5. Sit

…..and although we each have our own style of working out (being our individual input, thoughts, feelings and actions) we are all headed to the same solution….   HAPPINESS!! So no matter which way you look at it, if you complete the equation by fulfilling each point, no matter your working out…. you WILL achieve the same outcome! It is predicable and well, just downright AWESOME!!

Now onto the first part of my equation…. 2 minutes + 1 pose

The culmination of lessons for this, week 19 (and a touch of 18) has been nothing less than amazing… adding in the tiniest of habits to assist in our complete personality makeovers. Its time to “Wonder Woman Up!!”

This week we were introduced to the beautiful Amy Cuddy, and I was reminded of a phenomenal clip shared by TedEx that shares such a simple yet powerful message, that posture can give you power. And not only can it give you power but you can literally and chemically train your brain to create higher levels of testosterone while decreasing cortisol levels in an instant (or a 2 minute window). The clip runs for 20mins but is so worth the investment of time…

And the final piece to this weeks equation….  + 1 specific question = ???

Have you ever heard or seen something that you wish you could “un-hear” or “un-see”? Because now that you have heard or seen it, it has changed you in some way. Perhaps in a way that makes you take responsibility for yourself and this beautiful thing we call life…. well…. here comes a question that will make you do just that….. you will have no choice but to take action after you read it, you have been warned…. overt your eyes or stop reading if this thought bothers you because here comes one of the most profound slap-in-the-face can’t-help-but-take-action questions I have ever come across….

What would the person I intend to become do next?

Most people know, like really know, in the pit of their stomach who they want be, the type of person they wish to become…. and most know the steps necessary to take to achieve their desires, yet for some reason the link between what is “now” and what “can be” is sometimes a little wobbly, distractions easily take place and slowly and surely push you off course. Well this question, if you read it and really accept it for what it is and really understand it…. can start to repair the link…

So ask yourself this question consistently… and any time you feel a hint of hesitation or doubt toward taking action… What would the person I intend to become do next?

Week 18 – Whats around the corner…

Do we ever really know what is around the corner?

This last week has been intense to say the least, in our very small town community we have been hit with terrible tragedy’s and are all grieving together. The week before last, we lost our town vet, who was very well known and loved – unfortunately he succumbed to the darkness – a terrible loss. And then we lost another two close community members, husband and wife who were just out for an afternoon ride…. the whole town has been grieving and working in an environment where you are dealing daily with family members of lost loved ones, trying to help them through the pain so they can square things away and move on from their loss has been taxing.

Our exercise of reading obituaries daily was originally set to be a challenge because fortunately, usually, we do not have obituaries in our tri-weekly community newspaper – so I was buying a “city” paper where the stories of people past did not hit heart strings. These last two weeks our tiny little paper has been full of them, with faces we know and love….

The universe certainly works in mysterious ways, the Scroll marked V which we have been conducting our daily reads from…. from the beginning sentence “I will live this day as if it is my last” has had a whole new emotional connection – one that until now I have not been able to put into words (and so yes I am late with my blog this week).

Working hard using the law of substitution – working hard to replace positive and light where we have been surrounded in sadness and sorrow – reminding myself “I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy” and that I have within me the power from the world within to beam radiantly even through such times of sorrow, I am now able to write my blog.

I am ever so grateful for this community and wish to remain in harmony, for myself and those whom I love.

We do not know what is around the corner, so make sure you choose to live every day as if it is your last.

Week 17 and a half – Gratitude is a blessing in more ways than one…

Have you ever noticed the look on someone’s face when you offer them a genuine thank you, or a compliment for what would otherwise be “everyday/usual service”?? There seem to be two common reactions, 1) a sheer look of shock because they are not used to getting complimented or 2) a huge warm smile beams across there face.

I invite you to try it for yourself, next time you are in busy line for a coffee or at Woollies (that’s a grocery store for my American friends!!) and have been waiting for a teller, offer them a genuine compliment when they get to serving you and thank them for their excellent service and patience with the crowds and just observe there reaction – you just never know how much a single, genuine compliment can mean to a person…. I always am one to thank people for great service but am more consciously showing gratitude to ‘everyday’ type service and situations and the responses have been amazing.

Combine this task along with writing daily gratitude and ‘mini journal’ cards (whereby in just a couple short sentences you relive a special moment from the day) and you can bet your bottom dollar that when you come to reading them multiple times throughout the day, this action can pull you up and out of any funk you may find yourself in – these have been my saving grace the last few days.

I am so grateful for the MKMMA course for the skills they give you are life long and work in so many more ways than you could imagine so when the world appears to be in a whirlwind with you at the epicentre there are specific steps you can take to help you find your grounding and connect with the peace and harmony that the Universe has to offer.

Week 17 – Abundance is…

It Is Everywhere. Positive, negative and everything in-between can be found abundantly IF you are looking for it.

Let this settle with you for a moment while we revisit the beginning of an exercise we began two weeks ago…

To completely focus on a chosen virtue for a week, and last week was kindness… it was a most beautiful experience, and the more we looked and shared, the more we saw it and could see it in ourselves.

Learning from this experience, we now know that my focusing on a given virtue, and sharing experiences through masterminding, it can be found in abundant quantities… everywhere. Do you realize just how profound this is?? We actually used the law of growth to prove it so!!

So imagine, if you can… choosing ANY given thought and being able to find the resources to have it enter into your life abundantly…. whoo… this is a pretty big deal!!

Honestly this is something I struggled to wrap my head around… here is the catch though…. I said ANY given thought, that means positive OR negative….. and goodness know Ive proven the law of growth to myself on numerous occasions – without even realizing!!

I always knew I didn’t want to be someone who struggled financially, and unintentionally THIS became my focus!! Instead of focusing on the positive, I was focusing on the negative!

Re-iterating just how careful you MUST be with your thoughts, only allowing positive ones to flow through you and into you. Your watchman at the gate must be on high alert at ALL times…. and up until recently, I think mine has been having afternoon Nanna Naps!!
