Week 16 – Kindness does WHAT?!

Imagine…. Spending a whole week looking for, creating and recognizing kindness in the world…. how amazing would that be – to focus purely on kindness…. now imagine 300+ people doing the same thing…. do you think that would have an impact on the world – well welcome to week 16!!

And what a week it has been!


Increasing the progression of our complete personality make-over (how awesome this is btw) we were asked to focus completely on kindness for the entire week… and we know that what we focus on grows (Law of Growth 101!).  This has been one of the most profound experiences throughout the Master Key experience yet.

Kindness is everywhere. You simply have to choose to see it.

Seeing it in yourself it fairly easy, but once you open your eyes to the fact that it completely surrounds you – it becomes effortless.

Sharing our experiences daily as a requirement, it is actually hard to keep up with ALL of the kindness in the world!! What an incredible feeling that is!! It happens SO often, SO much and SO quickly that only a few hours pass and there are another 100 plus comments of people sharing random acts of kindness.

Tying in beautifully with this weeks Master Key lesson… it brings to light so many of the thoughts and ideas Haanel is sharing… particularly sentence 30

“You will readily see that what we think determines the quality of mind, and that the quality of mind in turn determines our ability and mental capacity, and you can readily understand that the improvement in our ability will naturally be followed by increase in attainment and a greater control of circumstances”

Combine the daily reading of our flash cards of gratitude and successes….. Increasing our ability and mental capacity – by focusing on kindness??!! SO cool!!


And we know the law of LOVE is another way to describe the law of attraction….. AWESOME!

Week 15 – The Law of AWESOME

So here we are at week 15 – man time seems to just fly by!

We were given an awesome challenge this week to pick a particular characteristic within ourselves which we would like to improve… OK so thats pretty easy…. then we were asked to identify this characteristic as we see it occur around us, in people, in children, in animals, and in ourselves.

You know when you make a decision to buy something – say like you decide you want to buy a new red car…. and you start your due diligence and focus your attention checking out prices and models etc etc…. all of a sudden it seems like EVERYWHERE you go there are red cars!! And you think it is completely bizarre that you never noticed this before…. introducing the law of growth…. what you think about grows.


The red cars have obviously always been there, yet they were not your focus, and not in your path…. (ps how HOT is that red sports car!! lol)

Merging the exercise and this law is POWERFUL….. And I am dubbing it the “Law of Awesome” (!!) because… all of a sudden, everywhere I am starting to see the specific characteristic in people. It has always been there, I have just not focused on it.

The kicker though…. this week we learned that we could not see this characteristic in others…. if we first did not posses it ourselves…. this realization is HUGE, so now not only am I noticing it occur around me, I am purposefully looking to find it, in everything!! And thus ingraining in my subconscious my ability to see it in others PROVES it lies within me…. I just have to FOCUS!!! (insert looking glass here!)


Coupling this, with Part 15 of the Master Keys… some powerful, powerful, sentences…

Sentence 24 – “There is a principle of Mathematics, but none of error; there is a principle of health, but none of disease; there is a principle of truth, but none of dishonesty; there is a principle of light, but none of darkness, and there is a principle of abundance, but none of poverty.”

In a nutshell, my take away is that you can not have both the positive AND negative.. “where there is (insert principle here) there can/will be no (insert negativity here)”….

Sentence 26 – “These are self-evident facts, but the all-important truth that a thought containing principle is vital and therefore contains life and consequently takes root, and eventually but surely and certainly displaces the negative thoughts, which by their very nature can contain no vitality, is one which seems to have been overlooked”

My take away – STOP, whatever you are doing or thinking… STOP thinking about what you DONT WANT!!!!


Sometimes we can get so focused on what we do not want, and in turn we are actually making this happen!! (I am SO sure of what I dont want!! FACE PALM!! Ive been doing it wrong the whole time!!!)

Instead, work out what you dont want (its good to be aware) BUUUUT… find out its opposite, the positive and focus focus FOCUS on this instead – for what we think about grows, and what we don’t atrophies…. and what better way to rid ourselves of the negative (for there can not be both positive and negative) than to grow the positive!!

Week 14 – Feel the rhythm! Feel the rhyme….. Get on up it’s Peace be the Journey time!!

Feel the rhythm! Feel the rhyme! Get on up, its bobsled time! Cool Runnings!

So we were asked to watch a movie this week, one of the options being an all-time favourite of mine… Cool Runnings. No problem!! I must have watched this movie so many times as a kid, and still love it to this day, yet this week, I watched it for the first time with open eyes… really understanding the true story behind the story and WOW what a joy it was to explore it from this angle, looking at and identifying everything we have been learning about over the last 14 weeks…. it makes me want to sing…. “Nuff people say, you know they can’t believe, Jamaica we have a bob sled team…” (you know the song!!)

Lets look at the most obvious persistence shown throughout the movie and the 4 tiny habits associated…

Habit 1. The absolute BURNING desire of Derice willing to do anything to make his dream of being in the olympics come true – his DMP – CHECK!

Habits 2 and 4. Joining together 4 unlikely team mates and a coach who dedicate themselves to learning how to bobsled (or Billsled if you ask Sanka!) – his definite PLAN and friendly ALLIANCE – CHECK AND CHECK!

(interject the power of positive thought, BELIEVE you are a champion even if you dont win the gold)

Habit 3. The amazingly positive attitude he continues to exude even though they were laughed out of every plan they tried to undertake in order for them to reach their mutual dream – CHECK!


As the story goes, they are faced with challenge after challenge which they tackle head on – one of the most important pieces noted was their ability to define themselves after their very first race on the ice….. ICE!!!


Sanka identifies the problem as Derice trying to copy the Swiss team which he idolizes. Now lets look at the reasoning here for one moment…

In the movie, the Swiss team are good…. VERY good, the best, and it is Derice’s dream to BE the best (or just like the best) and so, logically it seems to make sense that to be the best you have to ACT the best, do what the best do, talk like the best talk, walk like the best walk, sled like the best sled, and basically ACT LIKE the best… herein lies the problem which Sanka so gracefully identifies…

“All I’m saying, mon, is if we walk Jamaican, talk Jamaican, and *is* Jamaican, then we sure as hell better bobsled Jamaican.”

This ties in beautifully with Scroll IV of The Greatest Salesman. To move forward, not only did they need to identify that they were unique, they needed to embrace this uniqueness and use it to their advantage..

“Henceforth, I will capitalize on this difference for it is an asset to be promoted to the fullest. I am nature’s greatest miracle. Vain attempts to imitate others no longer will I make. Instead will I place my uniqueness on display in the market place. I will proclaim it, yea I will sell it. I will begin now to accent my differences; hide my similarities”

They realised they *IS* Jamaican and capitalized this difference to their advantage…

I could go on and on about each character in this blog, identifying their own hero’s journey…. but rather I say, go watch the movie!! Again…. and again!!! And identify with the characters struggles, building the habits of persistence and take from it all the gems you will to help you move forward.

Week 13 – And so this is Christmas…

Firstly, let me begin by wishing you a most wonderful Christmas from Down Under…. My OS friends, heads up its going to be a great day!!


It may seem strange writing a blog on Christmas Day, but sitting in amongst all the presents and copious amounts of food and drink a thought popped into my head that I felt I should share…

Ask mostly anyone what they think about when you say Christmas, and they talk about all the festivities associated; Santa, presents, birth of baby Jesus, too much food and drink, peace, goodwill, Christmas lights and carols… and I too fall into this category. I have ALWAYS loved Christmas, there is just something special, something magical when the whole world pauses for a day and comes together as one to celebrate – in one way or another, no matter what beliefs usually separate us.

The feelings are like nothing that comes before and nothing that comes after that one special day….

And this simple fact has lead me to my thought today…. WHY???

WHY is it only today in which we choose (because it is a choice) to celebrate life, love and giving? The feelings that you experience on Christmas morning either as a child opening gifts from Santa or as a grownup watching your children open their presents is priceless, tears welled in my eyes and I was overcome with joy and gratitude this morning when I saw the sheer delight and surprise in my children’s eyes.

Why would you not want to experience these feelings EVERY day??

Just stop and think for one moment what the world would look like if we could carry the joy of Christmas far beyond one day per year….. the beautiful part of it is….. you CAN!! You can choose to take those feelings with you, and intertwine them in your every day life, all you have to do is attach them to your thoughts!! HOW COOL IS THAT?!!!

The Seven Laws of the mind are coming into play every day and face-palming me right in the…. well…. FACE!! lol…

One of my favorite sentences from the Master Keys Part Thirteen this week, helps tie it all together, it is one thing to know and learn about the laws, it is another to USE them

Sentence 22

“In the first place, we must put our knowledge into practice. Nothing can be accomplished in any other way. The athlete may read books and lessons on physical training all his life, but unless he begins to give out strength by actual work he will never receive any strength; he will eventually get exactly what he gives; but he will have to give it first. It is exactly the same with us; we will get exactly what we give, but we shall have to give it first. It will then return to us many fold, and the giving is simply a mental process, because thoughts are causes and conditions are effects; therefore in giving thoughts of courage, inspiration, health or help of any kind we are setting causes in motion which will bring about their effect”

What better way to put this mental process into ACTION / practice that to choose to take the spirit and joyous feelings of Christmas with us, not just for a day….. but for our whole life if we choose.

Week 12 – Multi-tasking SUCKS!

In today’s fast paced society multi-tasking has virtually become a necessity to stay abreast of what is going on in the world, your life, the life of your friends and family and all things associated. So much demand is put upon us to be almost ‘superhuman’ in the way we communicate and function in our day to day activities.

How many times have you found yourself watching the news, checking your email, replying to a text message, tidying the kids toys and cooking dinner all at the same time, only to sit down at the end of the evening and wonder where all the time went and why you feel like you have barely accomplished a thing (and just how many browser tabs do you have open right now!?!).

Some people say, you just need to learn to multi-task better to accomplish more – what a load of bull poo!!!


Joining together with Part Twelve of the Master Key – from even the words of the introduction….

“The time and thought which most persons waste in aimless effort would accomplish wonders if properly directed with some special object in view. In order to do this, it is necessary to centre your mental force upon a specific thought and hold it there, to the exclusion of all other thoughts

… to our key exercise this week of being able to concentrate on ONE sentence in front of our mirror for 50minutes – a seemingly simple task one might assume – but to hold onto this one thought, to the EXCLUSION of all other thoughts is a skill of its own!

It is becoming apparently clear that in order to achieve a desired outcome we simply (or not so simply!) must, MUST, be able to concentrate our thoughts purely on this one objective, ignoring the obstacles of the outside world, including the opinions of others (which often is the hardest thing to do).

From sentence 6 and leading into 7, Part Twelve

“….your ideal must be sharp, clear-cut, definite; to have one ideal today, another tomorrow, and a third next week, means to scatter your forces and accomplish nothing; your result will be a meaningless and chaotic combination of wasted material.  Unfortunately this is the result which many are securing, and the cause is self evident…”

The key… SLOW DOWN… stop multi-tasking and focus focus FOCUS!!!

Week 11 – Its not what you think…


Defined in the dictionary as: “continuing to do something or to try to do something even though it is difficult or other people want you to stop”

I always believed this was a skill in its own right, one of which you either do or do not have (me being in the latter half of this discussion) – this week, to my absolute delight I discovered this is just not so.


This is HUGE news for me and news I am still allowing to sink in to my subconscious and completely accept this fact. To me being persistent was just simply continuing to try again, and again, and again and not quitting.

Persistence is actually a BY-PRODUCT of habit (seems logical I hear you say to yourself, trying again and again and again is a habit right?!)… here is the KEY though…. not just any habit, 4 specific but tiny little habits

1. A definite purpose back by a burning desire for its fulfillment

2. A definite plan, expressed in continuous action

3. A mind closed tightly against all negative and discouraging influences including negative suggestions of relatives, friends and acquaintances

4. Friendly alliance with one or more persons who will encourage one to follow through with both plan and purpose

Now, lets quickly run through to date what we have been building towards with this incredible MKMMA experience..

1. Check – DMP and repeating it multiple times daily with enthuuuuusiam (Thanks Mark J!!)

2. Check – Our smart goals and POA card helping ourselves gain traction toward achievement

3. Check – The 7 day mental diet (which is a diet I am NEVER quitting!) engaging the law of substitution and not holding a negative thought for anymore than 7 seconds without a conscious restart

4. Check – MKMMA alliance and our personal connections and the guy/gal in the glass

HOLY CRAPBALLS BATMAN!! I have just checked off the 4 key tiny habits to building persistence!! HAPPY DANCE – ready GO!!!


I AM DOING IT !! This time, not just trying again and again and again….

Since this grand discovery this week, my old blueprint has been trying to rear its ugly head and say – you cant do this, you are not persistent, you dont have that skill….. and trying with all its might to push back against what I now KNOW I am capable of…. I R-E-F-U-S-E (you hear that subby?!!) I OUT LOUD R-E-F-U-S-E to be sucked in to believe that I am not capable.

Week 10 – UNTIL…

How long would you give a child to learn to walk??


How many times would you see them fall, to pick them back up with tears in their eyes and still encourage them to continue?? How long would you make them persist in learning…..


We as adults encourage, and praise continuously UNTIL they learn to walk and then shout it from the rooftops as they manage to succeed in that first…. wobbly….. step.

Why then, do we not adopt this simple strategy for ourselves. When is the point in time in which we forget this simple lesson?? Why do we give up so easy, because we feel like we are not successful the first, or 50th time… what would happen if a mother gave up on her child learning walk at try 49…… (you can fill in the blank here!)

BUT…Here is the great news…


We can CHOOSE to continue, to persist, UNTIL we succeed.

As children, we are only born with two fears – the fear of loud noises and the fear of falling. ALL other fears are created and learned along the way, from personal experience or shared stories. We actually learn to be afraid and link feelings we do not like, therefore, will do mostly anything so as to keep ourselves from experiences these feelings by taking the associated action.

Do you realize how powerful this is???

Not only can we choose our response to certain actions or situations, but we CAN teach ourselves to love them.. by attaching new feelings… we are ABLE to change our RESPONSE… but we must choose to….

“From this moments, ALL hate is let from my veins, for I have not time to hate, only time to love”

I was always a little apprehensive about moving onto the next Scroll In The Greatest Salesman, I get attached to the words and created a “fear” of letting them go. This time, I made a CHOICE… to “greet this day with love” and I succeeded – I was excited about the getting into the next Scroll and wow…. powerful. I’m not sure how Og manages to do it, but each one seems to be more powerful than the last, just when I think he has topped himself!! (but that is just my opinion…. whoops!! lol)

Connecting with others this week has been empowering, making personal connections with MKMMA members turns this from an online course we are completing with a bunch of other people – to creating life changing events with friends. Sharing in victories and struggles, realizing we are ALL human and going through the same emotions as we break through our cement….

One of my favourite paragraphs from Scroll III –

“I was not delivered unto this world in defeat, not does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny”

Week 9 – I got the gooseys!

Does it matter if you are a righty or a lefty?? For so long I bought into the fact that I was a predominant lefty and that is how I was best to learn and be creative – and no I dont mean my writing style. Its my “brain style” ! (well what I thought was my brain style!).


Turns out this really is just a bunch of malarkey and here is why…. even though one side of the brain tends to be a favoured processing style for information that is received, it is critical, critical, that you combine BOTH sides of the brain to truly enhance your learning experience. Your Corpus Callosum (yes I know that made me go “huh?!!” the first time I heard it too!) is the bridge between the two hemispheres of the brain, acting as the highway in the brain upon which information passes from one half of the brain to the other, and if you truly learn to engage BOTH sides of the brain, effortlessly…. its game over. You win. If you need more validation here is just some  the “sciency stuff” to back this up.

It is unbelievably amazing how the MKMMA team have developed the exercises with SUCH precision and excellence to be able to do just that… and the deeper in we get, the more clarity I am experiencing, and it is blowing my mind (in a scary but oh so exciting way!!)

We are still focusing on increasing FEELINGS and ENTHUUUUSIASM (yes both words, capitalized, bold-ed, italic-ed AND underlined!!! Do you feel the importance?!!) because we are creating AH-MAZing new peptides for our brains to become addicted to. Out with the old, in with the new!

So important to tie this point together is from Week 8, Sentence 19

“You can not entertain weak, harmful, negative thoughts 10 hours a day and expect to bring about beautiful, strong and harmonious conditions by 10 minutes of strong, positive, creative thought”

So anyone who tells you, “all you have to do is say your affirmations” is telling you a load of BULL…. poo!!!

Unless, unless, you begin to focus on the world within, you can chant ALL the affirmations in the world and the only thing you will end up with is a dry mouth!!

This week, we are focusing on a BEEEEUTIFUL law of the mind –

The Law of Growth.   Whatever we think about grows. Whatever we forget atrophies.

Getting to know, love and understand this law has been POWERFUL for me this week. It has given me strength and courage to deal with a situation that completely shocked me. My beautiful little girl on Tuesday, as we were getting ready for school broke down into tears. When I asked her what the matter was, she said she just doesn’t like her face and she does not understand how people would want to be her friend with a face like hers….. OMG!!!! My heart skipped a beat at first, I was floored….. she is only 6!!!!


I am eternally grateful for this course, because I was able to talk through with her about the mind, what she feels and believes and we came to the outcome (very simplified) that it was her brain playing tricks on her…. so this week, to her little plan of action/service card, we will be adding my new love “I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy”. We will say it, together, and in front of the mirror as many days as it takes her to BELIEVE… I REFUSE to watch the cement start to grow around her beautiful soul (particularly so young!)

A certain favourite “goosey” clip comes to mind!!!

To finish with Haanel this week

Part 9 Sentence 27; Man is the sum total of his own thoughts; so the question is, how are we going to entertain only the good thoughts and reject the evil ones? At first we cant keep the evil thoughts from coming,  but we can keep from entertaining them. The only way to do this is to forget them – which mean, get something for them. This is where the ready-made affirmation comes into play

Sentence 28; When a thought of anger, jealousy, fear or worry creeps in, just start your affirmation going. The way to fight darkness is with light – the way to fight cold is with heat – the way to overcome evils is with good. For myself, I never could find any help in denials. Im gonna have me a “BADD-ass mudda, who dont take no crap off of nobody!!!” lol…. Or at least she will believe she is beautiful and loved 🙂

Week 8 – Take it to the bank

Did you know that EVERY day you receive 86,400 into your account?!!

Sounds pretty exciting yeah?? But you are probably thinking, no I dont?!!

Well let me change your perspective and understanding of the word “account” in that first sentence…. you immediately think bank account right?? Well this 86,400 is given to you in time, in seconds actually…. every single day.


That number seems almost unrealistic at first, but work it out…. its true!! Yet just how much of this time is wasted, often unintentionally, or mismanaged?? THIS has been a real eye-opener this week…. enter this weeks challenge…. no TV for 7 days…. EEEEEEK!!

Now not that I watch a lot of TV, so really i thought this challenge was going to be quite easy, but when Mark tacked on the addition of no “unproductive” (ie: work related) social and other forms of media, it was like my old blueprint literally jumped out of my body and smacked me in the face saying – what are you thinking?!!!!

Again, not that I feel I was wasting time, I was more of a Facebook stalker (lol) and just enjoy looking up different sites that interest me. The part that hit me square in my conscious this week was just how much I relied on social media (across a range of platforms) to “comfort” me, or to fill in a gap when I am bored, or not engaging in any social interaction.

Its almost as if I couldn’t be comfortably alone with my thoughts… until now – BA-BOOM (loving Marks terminology), with the regular lessons and activities I am engaging in within the MKMMA, I am now learning how to effortlessly control my thoughts in a powerful and productive way and that makes me excited for the silence and the in-active social times.

I had given up quite a few months ago regularly watching the news of a morning and evening because it was all SO negative. Watching it was just fueling the negative energy for the day and it was NOT something I enjoyed. As it was a habit, I found it a little difficult at first to not be across what was happening in the news, but after a few days, my mood improved and it had an AMAZing follow-through, my days just seemed to flow better – and now I understand why!!

The other main reason I gave up watching the news, it because it was influencing my children. One evening we were sitting watching the news (earlier in the year) and I could barely count even just one positive story, it was all negative and stories that I did NOT want my children to hear – and this was in prime time!!!

It is imperative to our success to be able to harness and empower our thoughts using our imagination…

The result of imagination leads to the development of the ides out of which your future will emerge…. but just as important alongside this… It may be cultivated by exercise, it must be supplied with nourishment or it can not live.




Week 7 – Come at me Universe!

Wowsers… week 7 – COME AT ME!!

This week among our regular (and awesomely awesome) habits, our scrolls, DMP, movie trailer, do-it-now’s, master key readings, press releases and blueprint builders… we have been challenged….

Gladiators…. ARE YOU READY??!!!!

Enter… dun dun dunnnn….. The Mental Diet…. hmmm… sounds interesting.

Progression on top of our no-opinions weeks (still working consciously on holding back my “thought” opinions, even if my mouth doesnt release the words!), we were challenged to a 7 day mental diet – 7 CONSECUTIVE days of no negative thoughts.  Engaging the law of substitution to push out any negative thoughts that happen to slip in – WELL, this has been interesting to say the least. At one point during the week I started to think the universe was literally conspiring against me!!!!

I’ve had re-set after re-set and it has been confronting to say the least as to just how many negative thoughts just randomly pop into my head or words escape my mouth – I genuinely felt I was a fairly positive person –  but now I can feel a change within me…. even if it is only slight. I am now CONSCIOUS of this fact and am ABLE to use the law of substitution to release the negative. It may take time for me to achieve consecutive days…. but I choose to ACCEPT this challenge with grace…. and I WILL succeed.

Words are amazing things, and it is not until you really start to notice the flow of language that you may genuinely understand the intended meanings. Its like the light has been switched on – Im finding I can easily link deeper meanings to what used to seem like random poetic words. Simply reading Dr Suess to my children, “Oh the places you will go” has taken on a WHOLE new level!! And it is AWESOME!!

This week what blew me away was my daughter…. she made this…..

It brought me to tears…. she is 6!!!

The signs are all around me know to really reaffirm “I can be what I will to be” and the universe, along with its challenges this week has been offering me little rays of sunshine from behind the clouds, with little seemingly insignificant signs (to the untrained mind) – that are helping me stay grounded and active inside my new blueprint and subby. Og and I were absolute BEST FRIENDS this week, and whenever I needed a pick-me-up I would reach for my Scroll – and in super trying times when I couldn’t read the scroll, audio became my besty… I was overjoyed to have found, read by Og himself….. Scroll II  (enjoy! x)

My sister and I went to the Canberra Get Active Expo just today, where we got to see the beautiful Michelle Bridges give a seminar (she is a fitness icon here downunder – the Jamie Oliver of fitness as she once described herself). Now, honestly I wasnt sure what to expect from this seminar, figuring (in her words) she was going to be teaching us how to “do squats and eat lettuce”!!! To my absolute delight, her WHOLE seminar was based on three simple things the power of belief and positive thoughts, aligned with a specific plan and then…. you guessed it ACTION!! Her words resonated on a whole different level and it was like she literally punched my subconscious, right in the solar plexus!!!! The two take-aways from her today…

The Three C’s of Success

1. Consistency 2. Consistency 3. Consistency  (yep, face-palm right?!!!)

And given the missing link for a lot of people is action…. here it comes, her one, BIG, key secret…. are you ready….

I am SO grateful for MKMMA to offer have given me so much more conscious power than I could have ever imagined…
